Daniel McChane

Daniel R. McChane, 57, of Camanche, died Thursday at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pape Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Horst Hehr officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born Nov. 23, 1948, in Clinton, to Ray W. and Mary A. Lampe McChane. He married Susan Delaney-Fiore in 1994. She died in 2003.

He graduated from Clinton High School.

He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

He was in auto sales with West Gate Motors and Lee Paasch Ford. He went to Barrows in Camanche and later became president of Compliment Conversion Vans. Following his retirement, he moved to England where he spent several years before returning to Camanche two years ago.

Survivors include his parents, Ray and Mary McChane of Camanche; a son, Jason Griffith of Colorado; one grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Billie (William) Crigger of Fulton, Ill.; two brothers, Randall (Catherine) McChane of Garland, Texas, and Mark (Teresa) McChane of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and grandparents.

Death Date: Feb. 23, 2006
