Andy Jack Widener, 82, of Kettle Island and formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Jan. 13 at Pineville (Ky.) Community Hospital.
Visitation was Jan. 15 at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville. Graveside services were conducted Jan. 16 at the Straight Creek Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 7, 1923, in Croos, Ky., to Elijah and Cinda McVay Widener.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was employed with Nabisco Brands, Clinton.
Survivors include three children, Andy (Annette) Widener Jr. of Morrison, Ill., Mrs. Judy (Robert) Dietz of Decatur, Ill., and Mark (Sherry) Widener of Fulton; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilborn “Zeke” (Diana) Widener of Walkerton, Ind.; and three sisters, Mrs. Cora (Bill) Philpot of Cincinnati, Mrs. Betty (Don) Miller of Arjay, Ky., and Mrs. Sue (Gene) Nunn of Kettle Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
