William 'Bill' G. Moore, 70 years old, of 105 North Hickory Street, Galena,
IL passed away January 17, 2006 at home, after a courageous battle with
cancer. Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the
Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena where a scripture wake service will be held
at 4 pm. Funeral mass will be Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 am
and burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was born on August 23, 1935 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Donna Koeller.
Bill spent his early years in Montour, Iowa where he was raised by his
grandparents. He was united in marriage to Jaundel (Neiss) Woodard on
November 17, 1978 in Galena. He was employed at Farley-Lecher and Caradco
before going to work for the former Dubuque Packing Company for eighteen years.

Then he worked as a janitor for St. Mary's Catholic Church for twenty-five
years, and also did janitorial work for the Galena Art and Recreation Center
as well as the James E. Wienen Memorial Park. He was an avid Galena Pirate
Fan and attended many of their sporting activities, and an avid Cubs and
Bear fan. His favorite pastime was playing Bingo and playing the lottery. He
also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Mary's
Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jaundel, four sons: Richard (Patty) Moore of
Delta, IA, William 'Charlie' Jr. (Brenda) Moore of Oskaloosa, IA, Terry
(Niece) Moore of South Roxanna, IL and Eric (friend Emily) Moore of Dekalb,
IL, two daughters: Betsy Eggers of Beaman, IA and Bambi (David) Roth of
Dubuque, IA, a step-daughter, Heidi Hoffman of El Paso, TX, three stepsons:
Tony (Jeness) Woodard of Pinkerington, OH, Terry Woodard and Mike (fiance
Cindi) Woodard both of Hanover, IL, eleven grandchildren, eight
step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, his best friend and
companion 'Goober'.

He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Koeller, a step daughter,
Shayne Hoffman, his former wives, Shirley (Wallace) Fields and Barbara
(Smothers) Guthmiller.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Karen and Jane of
Hospice of Dubuque and Dr. Lloyd Callaway for their care of Bill and their
kindness at this difficult time. A William G. Moore memorial fund has been
established at Dupaco Community Credit Union in Galena.
