Charlotte Linder

Charlotte Irene Linder, 83, of Morrison, Ill., died Jan. 3 at her home.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Morrison United Methodist Church preceded by a 1:45 p.m. family prayer service at the church. The Rev. Dr. Daniel Swinson, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded.

She was born June 12, 1922, in Morrison to Henry and Hulda Anderson Nelson. She married Harry R. Linder Jr. on Sept. 7, 1941, in Morrison. He died in 1988.

She attended Union Grove Grade School and Morrison High School.

She was employed as a nurse’s aide at Morrison Community Hospital for 10 years. She also managed a farming operation with her husband.

She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church and the church’s United Methodist Women.

Survivors include four sons, Orin (Patty) Linder of Tampa, Fla., Dennis Linder of Tucson, Ariz., and Barry Linder and Kent (Lori) Linder, both of Morrison; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alice Utech of Rockford, Ill.; one half sister, Mrs. Dorothy Wilkens of Tucson, Ariz.; and two stepsisters, Mrs. Betty Marshall and Mrs. Loretta (Ora) Schipper, both of Morrison.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Rock River Valley and Morrison United Methodist Church.
