Virtus Bott

BRYANT — Virtus Bott, 100, of Bryant, died Saturday at Mercy North Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lemke Funeral Homes, North Chapel, 2304 N. Second St. Bill Michaelsen will be officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Bryant. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

He was born Dec. 26, 1905, in Bryant to Peter and Anna Kruse Bott Jr. He married Irmagene Schroeder on Dec. 17, 1941, in Clinton.

He farmed in Bryant.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lola (Tom) Kruse of Bryant and Carolynn Kay Hoschek of Clinton; two sons, Wayne (June) Bott and Leon (Rita) Bott, both of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Viola Stolk of Clinton.

A memorial fund will be established.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Death date: Jan. 7, 2006
