GOOSE LAKE — Florence D. Gradert, 93, of Goose Lake, died Tuesday at Westwing Place, DeWitt.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake, with the Rev. Caroline Engelbrecht officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, and from 9 a.m. until the service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jay Gradert, Kenny Gradert, Michael Meyer, Brian Gradert, Kevin Petersen, Rickie Petersen, Jason Gradert and Jarod Gradert.

She was born June 15, 1912, in Teeds Grove to Herman and Lena Huebner Behrens. She married William Gradert on Oct. 22, 1932, in Preston. He died in 1984.

She was a homemaker. She and her husband farmed for more than 40 years in rural Bryant.

She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lucille (Arnold) Meyer and Mrs. Jean (Gary) Petersen, both of Goose Lake; three sons, Earle (Yvonne) Gradert of Bryant, Dean Gradert of Camanche and Glen (Cary) Gradert of Dewitt; one daughter-in-law, Joan Gradert of Bryant; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Voss of Bryant; and two brothers, Raymond (Madeline) Behrens of Clinton and Wilbert (Leola) Behrens of Teeds Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one grandchild and four brothers.
