Winnie Pruis

MORRISON, Ill. — Winnie Pruis, 85, of Morrison, died Tuesday at the Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison, preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service. The Rev. Jeffrey N. McIlrath, pastor of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

Pallbearers will be Joe and Brad Pruis, Scotty Denning, Shaun McCrary, Matt Barta, Mitch Tegeler, Jeremiah Johnson and Rod and Eric Brandt.

She was born April 12, 1920, in Fenton, Ill., to Martin and Kate Buis Tenboer. She married Fred Pruis on Aug. 14, 1940, in Morrison. He died in 1990.

She attended Morrison grade schools.

She and her husband were custodians at Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison.

She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, the church’s Mission Society and Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Janice (Allen) Brandt of Phoenix and Mrs. Judy (Aaron) Johnson of Morrison; two sons, the Rev. Al (Nancy) Pruis of Eagan, Minn., and Ed (Deb) Pruis of Morrison; nine grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison.
