Funeral services for Doris L. Schutt, 74, Calamus, were held Nov. 4, 1996 at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, with the Rev. Brenda Peconge officiating. Pallbearers were Gerald Behne, Randy Behne, Brad Mohr, William Martin, Edward Grau and George Redding. Burial was in the Pine Hill cemetery, Wheatland.
Mrs. Schutt died Nov. 1 at her home in Calamus, following a long illness.
The daughter of Ernest and Blanche Allen Selhaver, she was born May 25, 1922 in Quincy, Ill. She graduated from Wheatland high school. She married Arno Schutt Aug. 7, 1941 in Kahoka, Mo.
Mrs. Schutt was a member of the Calamus American Legion Auxiliary and she had been a Cub Scout den mother for many years. She ran a concession stand at the Calamus ball park for many years.
She is survived by her husband; 2 daughters, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Whittaker, Muscatine; and Mrs. Roy (Arla) Brown, Ophiem, Ill., a son, Mark, Lost Nation; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
