Funeral services for Robert "Joe" L. Lampe, 77, Tipton and formerly of Clinton, were held Oct. 26, 1996 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial was in the Clinton Lawn cemetery.
Mr. Lampe died Oct. 23 at his home in Tipton.
The son of Frederick B. and Pearl Beviere Lampe, he was born Oct. 8, 1919 in Clinton. He married Loyce L. Jones in Abilene, Texas.
Mr. Lampe retired in 1982 from E.I. DuPont after 37 years with the company. He was last employed in the coating department.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Grace Episcopal church in Clinton.
Mr. Lampe enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Helen Lampe, Tipton; a son, Darrell Lampe, Denver, Colo.; 3 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
