Funeral services for Henrietta L. Bope, 84, Wheatland, were held Sept. 25, 1993 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Barbara Wiebel was the organist and pallbearers were Mark Siegmund, Brad Siegmund, Cory Hoffman, Allan Steger, Troy Ludwig, John Bicknese, Dean Bicknese and Dennis Johnson. Burial was in the church cemetery

Mrs. Bope died Sept. 21 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home, following a short illness.

The daughter of Henry and LIsetta Schneider, she was born Dec. 11, 1908 in Wheatland. She graduated from Wheatland high school and Marycrest College in Davenport. She married Norman L. Bope Aug. 15, 1928 in Wheatland. He died in 1972.

Mrs. Bope was a retired school teacher. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of St. Paul's church and Ladies Aid.

She is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Siegmund, Lanark, Ill.; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vohla Bicknese, Wheatland. She was preceded in death by her husband and a great-grandchild.
