Final rites for Henry J. Becker, 58, were held at the Union Presbyterian Church, Lost Nation, March 29, 1993, with burial in the Smithtown Cemetery near Lost Nation. Graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion Post 473, Oxford Junction.
Mr. Becker farmed near the family homestead northeast of Lost Nation until 1992. He then worked at Tri County Coop, Oxford Junction. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
He married Judy Henricksen in Lowden in 1952. She died in 1972. He married Bernadine Hartson in Lost Nation in 1973.
He served 2 years in the army and was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Tamara (Mrs. Gary) Willimack, Oxford Junction and Mindy (Mrs. Larry) Chapman, Wheatland; 2 step-daughters, Susan (Mrs. Russell) Cox, Clinton and Sharon (Mrs. Gary) Vandenbergh, Forreston, Ill.; 2 stepsons, David Hartson, Winter Spring, Fla.; and Michael Hartson, Iowa City; 2 grandsons, 10 step-grandchildren; his mother, Cecile Becker, Lost Nation; 2 sisters, Phyllis Burns, Cedar Rapids and Lois Sanderson, Maquoketa; and 2 brothers, Gary Bloomington, Minn. and Larry, Maquoketa.
