Carl Schatz 04/02/1999 DeWITT, Iowa -- Services for Carl I. Schatz, of DeWitt, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Mr. Schatz died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. He was born June 6, 1942, in Clinton. He married Janet Connor in 1966 in Davenport. He married Kathleen Meyer in 1981 in Grand Mound. He was a self-employed mason contractor in the DeWitt area for 29 years. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses of Clinton County or the American Red Cross Fund for Kosovo. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Ann Schatz, Charlotte, N.C., Kerry Good, Chincoteague, Va., and Laura Schatz, at home; one grandson; his parents, Irvin and Frieda Schatz, DeWitt; sisters, Wilma Owen, Dewitt, and Clara Lowery, Delmar; and a brother, Fred Behr, DeWitt.
