Last rites for Norman L. (Pete) Schneider, 79, retired Wheatland farmer, were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland Nov. 6, 1992, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Pallbearers were Donavon Fox, LeRoy Proesch, Steven Riedesel, Kenneth Hoffmann, Dennis Kelding and Gerald Bauer. Honorary bearers were Sam Lee and Robert, Norman, David and Donald Beuthien. Marilyn Klahn was organist and Kathy Patterson, vocalist.

Mr. Schneider died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, Nov. 3.

The son of Ferdinand and Mary Homrighausen Schneider, he was born in Clinton county Oct. 27, 1913. He graduated from Wheatland high school. He married Florence Beuthien at Wheatland Oct. 1, 1949.

Mr. Schneider was a farmer in the Wheatland area. He was a member of St. Paul's church and Harbor Lodge, AF&AM, Lost Nation.

He is survived by his wife and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother.
