Catherine Austin 10/29/1998 CLINTON, Iowa -- Memorial services for Catherine Whitley Austin, of Eagle Point Nursing Home, formerly of Sarah Harding Home, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Episcopal Church, Clinton. There is no visitation. The body was donated to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy. Miss Austin died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at the nursing home. Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. She worked briefly as a journalist for the Emporia Gazette. Most of her life she was a secondary teacher of English in Kansas, North Dakota, Illinois and Iowa. She taught at Clinton High School from 1952 to 1975. She was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Emporia, Kan. Survivors include a niece, Catherine Roberts, Decatur, Ga.; and a nephew, Danforth Austin, Short Hills, N.J.
