Funeral services for Dorothy Stouffer, 89, Wheatland, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 17, 1992 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Glenn Wernecke officiating. Barb Wiebel will be the organist and pallbearers are Wilbur Bentrott, Charles Pelley, Roger Kell, Dave Buchanan, Don Petersen and Don Ott. Burial will be in the St. Paul's cemetery.

Mrs. Stouffer died June 8 at Wheatland Manor.

The daughter of John and Ida Miller Brokaw, she was born Feb. 16, 1903 in Martelle. She married Robert Stouffer May 30, 1926 in Laramie, Wyo. He died in 1979.

Mrs. Stouffer worked at the Rock Island Arsenal during World War II. She was also employed at the Wheatland post office as a postal clerk and she was a rural school teacher in her younger years.

She was a member of the Pythians in Dixon.

Mrs. Stouffer is survived by 2 sons, John, Hingham, Mass. and L. Willard, Davenport; 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and 4 brothers.
