CLINTON — Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called our beloved husband, brother and friend to His Heavenly home on Friday, November 25, 2005.

Funeral services to Celebrate the Life of Michael, 53, will be at 11 :00 am on Wednesday the 30th with a one hour visitation prior to the service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 656-5th Avenue South, Clinton, with the Rev. Michael Holm officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday the 29th from 3 to 7 pm at the Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery following the church service with a lunch afterward.

Pallbearers will be Gary Verdon, Steve Verdon, Scott Osmundson, Jeff King, Keith Johnson and Tom Neubauer. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin and Jessica King, Hannah and Madeline Verdon, Richard Johnson, Gerry LaShelle, Rod Cox and associates of Home Depot.

MORRISON, Ill. — Michael was born June 6, 1952 to Dominic John and Phyllis Mae Verdon in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. On November 1, 1989 he was united in marriage to Janet Lee Osmundson. In 1996 after Michael became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church they reaffirmed their vows before God by Rev. Michael Holm.

He graduated from Clinton High in 1971 and has a 2-year associate degree from Clinton Community College. He was a carpet installer for over 20 years and had joined the team of Home Depot in October of 2004. He is proud to have started at Home Depot on their first day in Clinton and worked hard at not missing a single day of work. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church were he is a Trustee and took over the recording for the church for KCLN when his father-in -law, Buz Osmundson passed away in 2004.

Michael’s family will remember fondly his love of life, his laugh, and mischievous smile. He enjoyed bowling and had a 300 game, talking to everyone, playing with his two cats, Ralph & Sam, pup Buttercup from next door, watching wrestling & movies with his wife and sitting outside with his wife and mother-in- law to visit with the neighbors.

Survivors to honor his memory include his wife, brothers Gary (Marcia) Verdon of Hinsdale, IL, Steve (Chris) Verdon of Eden Prairie, MN., sisters Janice (Ken) Stearns of Richmond, VA., Patricia (Royce) May of Alexandria, AR., brother-in -law Scott Osmundson of Chester, VA., mother-in-law Gladys Osmundson of Clinton, special friends Gerry and Deana LaShelle, Jeff and Sandy King and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates of Home Depot.

He was preceded to his Heavenly home by his parents, grandparents and father in-law.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Clinton Humane Society.
