The Clinton Herald Saturday October 25, 1952 p. 8 Mrs. J.L. Freund, 85, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday in her home at 2730 N. 2nd St., after a long illness. Friends may call at the Pape funeral home beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday. The body will be removed to the family home Monday noon. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mrs. Freund was the former Emma E. Lund, daughter of the late Justus and Julie Hahn Lund, born March 5, 1867 in Clinton. She was married April 24, 1889, in Clinton, to J.L. Freund, who preceded her in death. She was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Surviviing are a daughter, Miss Constance, at home, and two sons, Herbert E. of Meadville, Pa., and Carl J., Cedar Rapids; a sister, Miss Bertha Lund, Clinton; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
