The Clinton Herald Elfrieda Louise "Frieda" Buell, 94, of 1150 13th Ave. North, died Thursday at her home. A private family service will be conducted. The Rev. Michael Brewer will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. She was born July 21, 1905, in Bryant to Herman and Martha Meyer Dethmann. She married William C. Buell, Feb. 20, 1929, in Clinton. He died Dec. 13, 1972. She owned and operated the Courthouse Coffee Shop for 14 years. She was a member of Lutheran Church of Atonement. Survivors include three grandchildren; on great-grandson, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sons, a daughter, a granddaughter, a step-grandson, a brother and a stepbrother. Death date: March 2, 2000.
