The Clinton Herald Elfrieda Louise "Frieda" Buell, 94, of 1150 13th Ave. North, died Thursday at her home. A private family service will be conducted. The Rev. Michael Brewer will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. She was born July 21, 1905, in Bryant to Herman and Martha Meyer Dethmann. She married William C. Buell, Feb. 20, 1929, in Clinton. He died Dec. 13, 1972. She owned and operated the Courthouse Coffee Shop for 14 years. She was a member of Lutheran Church of Atonement. Survivors include three grandchildren; on great-grandson, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sons, a daughter, a granddaughter, a step-grandson, a brother and a stepbrother. Death date: March 2, 2000.

Mrs. Buell owned and operated the Courthouse Coffee Shop for 14 years. Elfrieda Dethmann was born July 21, 1905, in Bryant. She married William Buell in 1929 Clinton. He died in 1972. Memorials may go to the Lutheran Church of the Atonement or Alpha I. Survivors include grandchildren, Deana Pudil, and Charles and Elizabeth Buell; and a great-grandson, Michael Bear
