The Clinton Herald Friday May 19, 1939 p. 5 Funeral services for John Frahm, 77, 414 Nineteenth avenue, North, who died at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in Jane Lamb hospital, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Pape funeral home. The Rev. A. Schue, pastor of the Miles Federated church will officiate. Burial will be in the Miles cemetery. The body repposes in the family home and will be returned to the funeral home at 11 o'clock Saturday morning. Mr. Frahm was born March 5, 1862, near Miles, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Frahm. He received his education in the Miles schools and on Jan. 13, 1887, he was married in Clinton to Miss Amelia Struve of Almont. Mr. Frahm was a farmer until his retirement and was prominent in the civic affairs of Miles. He had been a resident of this city the last eight years. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Lula Lamborn of Preston and Miss Minnie Frahm at home, three sons, Alvin, Harvey and Marvin of Miles, a brother, Ernest Frahm, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Horst, both of Miles. Five grandchildren also survive. His parents, two sisters, Mrs. Hans Fredricksen and Mrs. Theodore Erickson, both of Miles, a son, Vertus, and an infant daughter preceded him in death.
