Edward G. Stephens
CLINTON — Edward G. Stephens, 95, of Clinton, died Nov. 5.
Lemke Funeral Homes, North Chapel, 2304 N. Second St., was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 29, 1909, in New York City to Francis and Mary Brady Stephens. He married Myra Gallanar on Feb. 6, 1965, in Chicago.
He received a degree from Fordham University.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.
He fought in World War II and received the American Service, Bronze Star, European-African-Middle Eastern Service and the Good Conduct medals.
He was an accountant.
He served as president of the New York State Jaycees, was New York City coordinator from 1940 to ’41 for the Civilian Pilot Training Program, the board of directors of the Clinton Chapter of the American Red Cross and was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He attended the Prince of Peace Parish.
Survivors include two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
