GOOSE LAKE — Maurice A. Jensen, 71, of Goose Lake, died Tuesday Nov. 8, 2005 at Mercy North Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ryan Samson, Dustin Samson, Keaton Samson, Tyler Jensen, Kurt Jensen and Steve Doerscher.

He was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Goose Lake to Moritz H. and Alvina Rickertsen Jensen. He married Janeen Maxwell on May 9, 1954, in Charlotte.

He graduated from Goose Lake High School in 1952.

He farmed in the Goose Lake area and was a millwright with Local 2158 in the Quad-Cities before retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Goose Lake Lions and 2158 Retirees clubs.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Jeffrey (Sally) Jensen of Colorado Springs, Colo., Craig (Jane) Jensen of Charlotte and Joy Jensen of Goose Lake; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Irene Gregersen of Sabula.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
