Last rites for Merlyn (Tuffy) Meyer, 59, were held at Davenport March 13, 1987 with burial in Big Rock cemetery. Mr. Meyer died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, March 11.

The son of Julius and Bertha Laasch Meyer, he was born at Calamus July 25, 1927 and was married to Vivian Kokemuller at Davenport Oct. 15, 1949. He had been employed by the Caterpillar Company.

He was a member of the Davenport Moose Lodge and the Midwest Old Times Racing association.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jan (Karen) Schnede, Calamus; Mrs. Douglas (Kathy) Chadwick, Wheatland; 2 sons, Kirk, Lowden and Kelly, Big Rock; 8 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. George (Ethel) Moeller, Mrs. Earl (June) Sievers and Mrs. Darrel (Betty) Mayerhofer, Dixon; 5 brothers, Arnold, Yuma, Ariz.; Ronald (Bill) and Herb, Dixon; Delmar (Snowball), Blue Grass and LuVerne, Wilton.
