Last rites for Charles White, 64, Calamus, were held at the Kelly-Schultz Funeral home, Grand Mound, April 21 with the Rev. Lowell Hohensee officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Calamus. Pallbearers were Herb Will, Russell Hazen, Elvis Wieck, Robert Steele, Albert Smith and Frank Forret. Joyce Fletcher was organist, Gary Braet soloist.
Mr. White died at the DeWitt Community hospital April 18.
The son of John and Blanche Hazen White, he was born near Calamus Nov. 11, 1921. He was married to Marilyn Wieck at Kohoka, Mo. Sept. 12, 1942. They farmed in the Calamus area.
He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Karilyn) Decker, Clarence and Mrs. Gary (JoAnn) Jeffrey, DeWitt; a son, Roger, Calamus; 2 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wilson (Dorothy) Reneau, Amarillo, Texas and a brother, Eugene, Davis, Calif. He was preceded in death by a sister.
