CLINTON — Phyllis J. Jesberger, 72, of Clinton, died Wednesday Oct. 19, 2005, at Mercy North Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Criscynthia Drake officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her family and friends.

She was born June 5, 1933, in Lineville to Ray and Effie Wilson Johnston. She married Eugene Leslie on Aug. 12, 1953, in Clinton. She later married James Jesberger in 1990 in Tennessee. He preceded her in death.

She worked with the Collis Co. and later at Drives Inc., Fulton, Ill., for 19 years.

She was active with Free in Jesus Ministries.

Survivors include five children, Doug Leslie, Marcia (Ron) Shadle, Kevin Leslie, David Leslie and Cynthia (Michael) Head, all of Clinton; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gerald (Delores) Johnston and Lyle (Gladys) Johnston, both of Clinton, and Max Johnston of Davenport; one sister, Irene Lanning of Clinton; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.
