ONCE WEALTHY CITIZEN DIES
Timothy Connor Passes to Beyond at the Age of 82
ACCUMULATED FORTUNE
Engaged in That Business in Chicago for Number of Years -- Of Irish Nativity -- Funeral to Be Held Saturday

Once the head of a big Chicago lumber concern, and one of the well-to-do men of Clinton at an earlier day, died Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. at his home, 107 South Sixth street. Senility was in the main cause of death. Mr. Connor was a veteran of the civil war, having enlisted and served in Co. A, Thirty-fourth Illinois infantry.

His wife to whom he was married Oct. 13, 1872, died several years ago. Mrs. Connor, before marriage, was Miss Mary Fitzgerald. There are two sons, John and P. J. Connor and a daughter, Mrs. E. L. Small, of this city, surviving. A son, James, is dead.

The deceased was a member of St. Patrick's church in this city and funeral services will be conducted there Saturday morning at 9 o'clock by the Rev. Father Murray.

Mr. Connor came to the United States at the age of sixteen from his birthplace, County Limerick, Ireland. He was engaged in the lumber business in Chicago with two brothers and made a fortune which has since become depleted.
