Thomas H. Howson, who for 40 years was a resident of Clinton county, passed away at his home in Chicago Friday evening, January 17th after an illness of two months.
Prior to his removal to Chicago in 1904 he resided for seven years in Clinton, during which time he was a stock buyer for the Iowa Packing company. Before that period he lived for nearly 40 years near Follets and Low Moor. His wife and three sons, Elmer, Louis and Arthur, all of Chicago, survive him, as do four brothers, George and N. J. of Low Moor, Charles of DeWitt, and Fred of Mt. Vernon, and one sister, Mrs. R. O. Smith of Fort Dodge.
Funeral services will be held at the Low Moor church at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, January 20th, with interment in Rose Hill cemetery in Camanche.
