Bernard Joseph Petersen, the young son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Petersen, 313 DeWitt street, passed away at 5 o'clock last evening after an illness of many months with tubercular meningitis, but was seriously ill only one month.
Bernard Joseph was born October 20, 1914, in Clinton and was to begin his first year of school in September, but his weakened condition would not permit him to begin his studies. Left to mourn his death are his parents, five sisters, Rose, Margaret, Marie and Clara of this city and Jeanette of Davenport, and one brother, Maurice. Jeanette arrived from Davenport this morning.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home with the Rev. Father Kissane, chaplain of Mt. St. Clare academy, officiating. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
