Funeral services for Delbert Leroy Williams, 42, Wheatland, were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, Jan. 13 with the Rev. Koenig officiating. Pallbearers were Alex Taylor, Jack Hoppwood, Harold Paustian, Dale Sievers, Dwaine Benishek and Al Roush. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery.

Mr. Williams died enroute to a DeWitt hospital Jan. 10. He had been scheduled for open heart surgery Jan. 19.

The son of Dewey and Lulu Campbell Williams he was born Feb. 14, 1932 and was married to Thelma Robert Sept. 10, 1960, in California. He was employed as a driver for Hawkeye Transport, Stanwood and had lived in Wheatland for 7 years. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Delbert J. and Rodney, Wheatland; 2 step-children, Mrs. Donovan Bentrott and Elaine Roberts, both of California and Edward Roberts, Wheatland; a step-granddaughter; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Williams, Massena; 2 sisters, Mrs. Alfred Pepmeier, Big Rock and Mrs. Martin Brokaw, Lenox and 3 brothers, Ronald, California; Dean, Prescott and Densmore, Texas.
