Patricia A. Striley, 71, of Camanche passed away peacefully while watching a beautiful sunrise on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Alverno – Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Vroman, Lucas Lauer, Joseph Striley, Christopher Striley, Cody Pritchard, and Nathaniel Davis.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann Treakle was born March 29, 1951, in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of Orie and Helen (Dole) Treakle. She attended Camanche High School. As a very young teenager she met the love of her life at what was then the beloved Fox Roller Rink in Camanche. She married Harold Striley on March 30, 1968, in Camanche, Iowa; he preceded her in death on October 8, 2021.

Patricia was a homemaker and worked various jobs through the years and vibrantly took care of her home and her four boys, including during the more than 21 years that her husband was serving in the United States Navy and frequently deployed for extended periods of time. As a Navy spouse she and her family moved often and lived in numerous places throughout our country. Pat at times served as Ombudsman on base for families whose sailors were deployed, working as a liaison between ship commanders and the families at home and helping to care for the needs of those families in times of hardship, emergencies, and sorrow. Over the years she cared for numerous friends and loved ones as they faced illness and other challenges, helping them to get the care and resources they needed. Her tenacity and courage were admired by all who knew her and the values that she instilled in her children and grandchildren will live on for generations. She was a constant pillar of strength, love, and devotion for all that knew her.
Patricia is survived by her four sons: Tim (Karen) Striley of Camanche, Tom (Susan) Striley of Erie, Ted (Angelica) Striley of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Todd (Shaylen) Striley of Clinton; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister Sharon Boyer of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
