Obituary

Carl K. Nabb, a resident of Park View, Iowa and Clinton, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Prairie Hills of Clinton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.

Carl was born on April 6, 1930 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Carl H. & Alice M. (Dismer) Nabb. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Carl served in the Aleutian Islands during the Korean War.

Carl married the love of his life, Ingelore Renate Eschenbach, on November 23, 1957 in Elvira, Iowa. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2018.

Carl retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1994 after a 35-year career. A lifetime resident of eastern Iowa, he was an avid Hawkeye fan. Carl loved his family and was always rock solid during life’s ups and downs. He enjoyed joking around, spending time with his family and his dogs, hunting, watching sports, listening to music, and munching on tasty treats.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Jeanette Levinson (Ben) of Santa Clara, California, Kenneth Nabb of Princeton, Iowa and David Nabb (Aor) of Kearney, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Sebastian Nabb of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Nate Levinson of Davis, California, Rachel Levinson of Felton, California, and Daniel Nabb of Caldwell, Idaho.
