Charles L. Dreibelbeis, 80 of Camanche, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United States Army. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Charles Lee Dreibelbeis was born on October 16, 1941 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Charles and Lucille (Reed) Dreibelbeis. He was a 1961 graduate of Camanche High School. He then served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. He married Cindy Fink in 1974; they later divorced.

Charles was employed at Alcoa for 37 years as a truck mechanic retiring in 2004. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time on the river. He loved working with his hands doing woodworking or working on his antique tractors and cars. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his children: Kelly Dreibelbeis-Rixen of Clinton, Denise (Paul) Judge of Clinton, Ross (Robyn) Landon of Miles, and Cory Dann of Clinton; nine grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; his brother: Bob (Gwen) Dreibelbeis of Camanche, sister-in-law; Nancy Dreibelbeis of Long Grove, three nieces, one nephew, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother: Vern.
