Mary Lee Green, 91, formerly of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Westwing Place in DeWitt.

Mary Lee Green was born February 1, 1931, to Albert and Mary (McManus) Green, in rural Grand Mound Iowa. She lived in the Grand Mound area until moving to Westwing in 2010.

Mary Lee was a lifelong member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church in Grand Mound where she enjoyed going to daily mass and saying the rosary. In her younger years, she enjoyed flowers, fishing and traveling with her friends, family, and the Day Trippers. As a resident of Westwing, Mary Lee enjoyed BINGO, bowling, painting, and attending the religious services. She affectionately referred to the staff as Cinderella, Pocahontas, and Micky Mouse.

Mary Lee is survived by her sister-in-law Alice Ann Green of Wheatland, nieces & nephews and their spouses, Carol (Dennis) Eckelberg of DeWitt, Albert (Dawn) Green of Calamus, Larry (Carol) Green of Bettendorf, Mary (Bill) Hickle of Surprise, Arizona, Victor (Dawn) Green of Grand Mound, Michelle (Steve) Bost of Reynolds, Illinois, Don (Ann) Green of DeWitt, Kathryn (Rodney) Haack of DeWitt, Karen (Dan) Burke of DeWitt, Dan (Stacy) Green of Calamus, Cheryl (Jim) Whalen of Guttenberg, Maureen (Dave) Mann of Underwood, Jeanine (Mark) Gannon of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois, Madonna (Brian) Farrell of Raleigh, North Carolina, Debb Green of Iowa City, and Mary Ann Green of Dubuque; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leonard Green and Eldon Green, sister-in-law Therese Green and three nephews, Joel Green, Steven Green, and Leon Green.

The family is extremely grateful for the kindness and love shown to Mary Lee by the staff at Westwing Place during her time there.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Sts Philip and James Catholic Church in Grand Mound, with a Rosary at 9:00 a.m. and visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound.
