Wilbur Ruppenkamp, 77, Clinton, died Friday at Mercy hospital, Clinton.

Mass of the Resurrection was at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church, Clinton. Celebrant was the Rev. Raymond Ruppenkamp, Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Ruppenkamp's son. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, Clinton.

He was born at Riverside, Iowa. He married Catherine Burns at Iowa City, in 1921. They farmed in the West Branch area, until his retirement in February, 1970, when they moved to Clinton.

Mr. Ruppenkamp is survived by his wife; daughters, Mrs. James Murphy and Miss Patricia Ruppenkamp, Clinton, Mrs. Joan Hobt, Chariton; Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Beherende, New Holland, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Long, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Rita Greaber, Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Theresa Moe, Detroit, Mich.; a son, the Rev. Raymond Ruppenkamp, Brooklyn, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Leo, North Liberty and Earl, Iowa City.
