Funeral services for Robert E. Schanze, 43, Wheatland, were held July 16 in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.

Mr. Schanze died July 13 enroute to a Davenport hospital, following a heart attack. He was born Aug. 4, 1925, at Calamus, the son of Fred and Francis Gilmore Schanze. He married Shirley Koch May 21, 1950. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland. Mr. Schanze served as a postal clerk at Wheatland for 21 years.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a son, Michael, at home; a brother, Fred, DeWitt; sisters, Cleo McDivitt, Clinton; Mrs. Walter Hythereck, Grand Mound and Mrs. Roger Riedesel, Wheatland.
