GRAND MOUND-Edward Carlson, 79, of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. There will be no services.

Edward Carl Carlson was born July 21, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa, to Lawrence and Jessie Adeline (Brumwell) Carlson. He was a longtime member of the Painters Union, belonged to the American Legion in Grand Mound, and loved the outdoors.

Ed is survived by two children, Thomas Carlson of Grand Mound, and Wendy Carlson of DeWitt; two grandchildren, Rae Ann Carlson and Dana Carlson; and his sister Betty Carter of Princeton, Iowa.
