James Singelmann, 74, of Charlotte, Iowa, passed away peacefully Friday, February 4, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center-East in Davenport, following a brief illness.

Jim was born June 19, 1947, to George and Rose (Lippens) Singelmann, in DeWitt, Iowa. He graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt. He was married to Teresa Mumm, with whom he had three children. They later divorced. Jim worked as a printing press operator for R.R. Donnelley in Eldridge for 26 years. He also farmed the family farm in Petersville for many years.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, attending tractor-pulls, and being outdoors.

He is survived by his children, Victoria Singelmann, Nic (Alisha) Singelmann, and Heather Singelmann all of DeWitt; grandchildren, Lena and Anna Singelmann, and Maxwell Simpson; sisters, Deb (Alfie) Mohr of Miles, and Darlene (Nathan) Hall of Davenport; brother-in-law, Delbert Polkinghorn of Preston; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Judy Polkinghorn.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the service time of 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, Deacon Mike Sheil officiating. Burial and Military Honors following at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Petersville.
