Gary M. Huss, 76, of Camanche, passed away, Sunday, November 21, 2021 at WestWing – DeWitt, Iowa.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00am, Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Catholic Church of the Visitation – Camanche. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the mass time Friday at the church. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family. Gary Mark Huss was born on January 31, 1945, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Edward and Mildred (Hinman) Huss. He was a 1963 graduate of Perry High School. He later attended Grandview College and graduated from UNI in 1968. He married Bonnie Glendenning on July 27, 1968 in Clinton.

After graduating from UNI, Gary taught in Olin, Iowa, before moving to the area and working in the quality control lab at Equistar until retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Church of the Visitation. He enjoyed fishing and spending time working in his garden and lawn.

Gary is survived by his wife: Bonnie of Camanche; his daughter: Heather (Stephen) Hill of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his grandson: Tyler Hill; his siblings: Dr. Chuck (Pam) Huss of Iowa City, and Barbara (Joe Shepherd) Bys of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; sister-in-law: Sally Petersen of Clinton; brother-in-law: Jeff (Judy) Glendenning of Clinton; nieces: Trisha (Aaron) Casler, Amy Krueger, Joey (Brian) Bolek; and nephew: Curtis Enochson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law: Tim Petersen.

Memorials can be made to the Clinton Conservation Department to support fishing.
