Roger J. Kremer, 71, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 14, 2021, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Roger was born October 6, 1950, in Andrew, Iowa, to Vincent and Virginia (Green) Kremer. He attended Andrew High School. Roger joined the Airforce in 1968, serving in Vietnam and the Philippines. Roger married Marilyn McDevitt on August 17, 1974, in Bellevue, Iowa. The couple resided in DeWitt. He worked for 10 years at J.I. Case in Davenport, and then Wendling Quarries in DeWitt until retirement in 2020. In retirement, he continued to work on many projects in his home and garage.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, birdwatching from the front porch, and taking his dog Jax for a ride every day after work.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Christopher and his wife Lindsay Kremer with their son Ami of Chicago, Illinois, and daughter, Emily Kremer and her fiancé Josh Chamberland of Dubuque; a sister, Barbara (Rick) Thole of Dubuque; a sister-in-law, Sue Kremer; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Galen Kremer, Norma (Roger) Schmidt, Dennis (Sherry) Kremer, Dean Kremer, and Marlene Sieck, and a nephew, Kirk Yoerger.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until the service time of 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Interment and Military Rites will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Maquoketa. Masks are required for all in attendance.
