Benjamin “Ben” Edward Reedy, 68, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at Big Meadow Nursing Home, Savanna, on Friday, November 12, 2021. Funeral services occur at 1 pm on Tuesday, November 16, at the Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. A visitation occurs two-hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial takes place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Ben was born October 16, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the son of George and Fern (Poorman) Reedy. Ben worked at Nestle’ (Ralston) Purina, with ESB, for 26 years.

Ben loved fishing he also loved playing (and wrestling) with all of his nieces and nephews – he was the kids’ favorite Uncle. He enjoyed watching Western shows on the TV, as well as of course, watching wrestling shows. He had a great sense of humor and was very quick witted. He loved his best friend - his dog Maggie, as well as, the horses the family had growing up. Above all, he loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Ben is survived by his siblings – Georgetta VanVleet of Olathe, Kansas, Charles “Chuck” (Barbetta) Reedy of Clinton, Ricky Ray Reedy of Clinton and Kelly (Rick) Miller of Clinton; with many loving nieces and nephews, several cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers – George, Jim, Fred, Joe and Chris, one brother in-law Robert, one niece – Tina and one nephew – John.
