Steven A. Bomia, 65, of Low Moor, passed away, Sunday October 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at Hunter’s Sports Bar in Low Moor on Saturday October 30, 2021 from 3pm-5pm.

Steven Anthony Bomia was born in Davenport, Iowa on August 28, 1956 to the late Fred & Ann Bomia. He worked many jobs including driving dump truck for a company that helped pave Highway 61. His true passion though started in the kitchen when his father taught him how to cook. Over the years, Steve owned several restaurants, cooked at the Opryland Hotel, and loved sharing delicious meals with family & friends. If you ever had the pleasure of eating one of Steve’s meals, you knew how talented he was.

Steve was a collector of vintage kitchen items, very rarely drove anything but a Lincoln Town Car, and loved his Border Collie, Alexandria.

Steve is survived by sister Karla (Roger) Byl, sister Linda (Lou) Valsoano, brother Chuck (Sue) Bomia, and brother Brad (Alys) Bomia many nieces and nephews that will continue to tell the stories he loved to repeat, drink margaritas, and dance to some classic music in his honor.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Gladys, father Fred, sister Sandy, and mother Ann.

If there’s anything Steve would want you to do, it would be to treat people with kindness and respect.
