Alice Maye Mensinger, 78, of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully at the Alverno on Monday, October 11, 2021. Honoring her wishes cremation rites have been accorded with private family services taking place. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Alice was born January 7, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and May (Marr) Tillema. She was a 1961 graduate of Clinton High School. Alice was united in marriage to Jerry Mensinger on April 12, 1977.
Alice was a past member of the Camanche Lutheran Church.
Alice held many jobs throughout her career, including an Office Manager and Administrative Assistant at Leak Repair in Corpus Christi, Texas and concluded her career as an associate at Camanche High School.
Alice enjoyed socializing with family and friends, she also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Camanche bowling league. Tending to her flower garden always gave her peace and happiness. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
Alice is survived by her children - Robbie (Frank) Grage of LeClaire, IA., Kim (Steve) Wagner of Camanche, IA Robert (Barb) Weber of Clinton, IA., Christina (Mike) Skiles of Clinton, IA., 2 step-children - Teresa Green of Lakeway, TX. and Jerry (Chris) Mensinger of Omaha, NE; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers - Robert (Madeline) Tillema of Reedley, CA and Charles (Mary) Tillema of Texas; with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Proceeding her in death are her parents, husband, step-daughter - Jeri Kay Moe and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Camanche Athletic Booster Club or the Speak-Out Against Suicide Organization of Camanche.
