Obituary for David G. Rajcevich
David George Rajcevich, 78, of Fulton, died Friday, September 10, 2021, at The Alverno of Lewy Body Disease. He was born in Clinton, Iowa, on August 3, 1943, to George and Harriet (Dellit) Rajcevich.

As a young man, Dave served in the US Navy. His P-3 Orion flight crew was involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis; they searched the Atlantic for Soviet submarines suspected of carrying missiles to Cuba. His love of flying continued after the service and included flight instruction, the occasional charter, and exciting flights with his family in his club plane.

He worked at Nitrin for eleven years before going to Exelon's Quad Cities Station, where he worked until his retirement. While at Exelon, he found a new love that persisted the rest of his life - computers.

Dave was first and foremost a devoted husband and family man. His parents and sister were over weekly for dinner and cards. Dave would try to act serious at times, but his family learned to read his expressive eyebrows early on and had him lovingly wrapped around their little fingers - he knew this and loved it. And they knew he was always their rock.

Dave is survived by his wife, Morgan; his first wife, Sharon Fuchs; his daughter, Kim (Dale) Schwer of Brookfield, IL; his daughter, Amber (Matt Erickson) Rajcevich of Davenport, IA; a granddaughter, Autumn Rajcevich Schwer, and a grandson, Frederick Rajcevich Erickson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; his sister, Nancy (Dave) Andrews; his son, Christopher; and his grandson, Collin Rajcevich-Ungaretti.

Dave had a large extended family and he never missed a funeral, but it was his request to forego that tradition. Instead, he wants his family to enjoy the best thing on his bucket list - a trip to Hawaii. We'll let you know when it's time to make arrangements for some fun in the sun.

Farewell, fly high, our love.
