Shannon Hammer, age 30, of Savanna, Illinois passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at home. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna.

Whenever you wear hot-pink remember Shannon, as that was her favorite color. She was always full of life and fun-loving.

Shannon was born March 9, 1991 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Alan and Phyllis (Howes) Hammer. She attended Fulton and Savanna Schools. Shannon earned her CNA certificate. When she was young, she always wanted to become a cosmetologist, as she enjoyed doing her hair and makeup all the time.

Her biggest joy and concern was her kids, Tristen (13), Zayden (11) and Jaxen (8). She loved dancing and singing along to their favorite songs. Often, Shannon would baby-sit her nephews and nieces. She was like a kid herself and liked giving them a "hard-time."

She is survived by her three children, Tristen, Zayden and Jaxen Hammer; her parents, Alan and Phyllis (Howes) Hammer; a sister, Amanda (Curt) Pendleton; two brothers, Glenn (fiancé Jennifer Rodgers) Hammer and AJ (Keira) Hammer; and nine nieces and nephews, Tanner, Alyza, Calvin, Broque, Riley, Anna, Maya, Braelyn and Alan. Shannon is preceded in death by a nephew, Landon; her grandparents, Charles and Frances (Kness) Howes and Glenn and Goldie (Dalton) Hammer; and seven aunts and uncles, Linda Howes, Michell Howes McCall, Robert Howes, Larry Hammer, Terry Hammer, Jim Green and Sharon Hammer and two cousins, Harold Traywick and Shaun Traywick McCall.
