OXFORD JCT. - Funeral services for Ambrose Jeffrey, 91, who died Aug. 31 at University hospital, Iowa City, were held Friday at the Community church at Toronto with burial in the Massillon cemetery.

He was born April, 1871, in Cedar county, the son of Samuel and Hester Jirard Jeffery. He was married Dec. 8, 1897 to Jessie Dinkle at Lowden. He farmed during his early married life and then was employed by the Petersen Produce company until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife; one son Kenneth of Toronto; three daughters, Mrs. Arla Haines of Detroit, Mrs. Sadie Willert of Toronto and Mrs. Mayme Hall of Lisbon; 15 grandchildren.

One son, Harold, and one daughter, Mrs. M. L. Klahn, preceded him in death.
