Obituary
Jeffery Lynn Whisker, 73, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at home on Friday, July 2, 2021. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of his life taking place from 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, July 11 at the Millennium Hall – Goose Lake, Iowa. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Jeffery was born July 29, 1947 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Lynn and Julia (Milhouse) Whisker. He was a graduate of Kewanee High School. Jeffery served his County in the United States Army – receiving two Purple Heart medals during two tours in the Vietnam war.

Jeffery was united in marriage to Pamela Hart on April 1, 1977 in Clinton, Iowa.

Jeffery worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal service, serving the Goose Lake and Bryant areas. Along his mail route, he would greet the many dogs that met him with cookies and hotdogs.

Jeffery loved the outdoors and was a true sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors to experience nature, land and the waterways. Above all, he loved his family very much and was a dedicated and loving husband.

Jeffery is survived by his wife – Pamela of Clinton; two sons – Phil (Michele) Petersen, Matt (Renee) Petersen all of Clinton; one daughter – K.C. (Kip) Kelley of Clinton; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters – Nicki (Gary) Stagman of Granite City, IL, Jill Whisker of Senoia, GA and Kim Bush of Clinton; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one niece – Liz.
