Obituary
Kristin Kay Walrod, 58, of Wylie, Texas, formerly of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully Monday, March 22, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Kristin was born March 26, 1962, in DeWitt to Lyle and Ruth Walrod. She graduated from Central Community Schools in 1980. Kristin went on to graduate from St. Ambrose University, Davenport with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Marketing in 1984. She moved to North Platte, Nebraska, as a manager for K-Mart and in 1989 transferred to Texas, making her home in Wylie. In 2001, Kristin began working for Bank of America. She started out managing banking centers, managing one of the largest banking centers in Texas, and later took a position at the corporate office in Plano, Texas. Kristin's last position was Vice President of Senior Operations.

She loved spending time with her family and taking family vacations to Washington Island, Wisconsin every summer. Kristin loved her dogs and going camping in the RV.

Surviving are her partner, Deb Hemphill; her mom, Ruth Walrod of DeWitt; a brother, Scott (Stacy) Walrod of Davenport; a niece, Sydney (Jordan Hageman) Walrod; nephews, Tyler (Danika) Walrod and Kaden Walrod; great-nieces, Emersyn and Elliana.

Preceding Kristin in death were her dad, Lyle; her paternal and maternal grandparents and an uncle, Fredrick "Rick" Hanson.

A service will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Allen Funeral Home, Wylie, and Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
