Dr. Richard P. Forrest, 90, of Clinton, Iowa, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Bickford in Clinton. Private services and visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church, Clinton. Private burial will be held Monday at Springdale Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with services. Richard was born November 28, 1930 in Brigham City, Utah, the son of John and Catherine (Priest) Forrest. He married Suella Louise Boysen December 16, 1956 in Mediapolis, Iowa; she died September 21, 2008.
He was a United States Navy Korean War Veteran.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Clinton Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, working in the yard, watching the Hawkeyes, attending Showboat performances, spending time with his family and following his granddaughters' activities.
Dr. Forrest was a 1957 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was a Doctor of Chiropractic and founded Forrest Chiropractic Offices in Clinton in 1962.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy (Steve) Struble; son, Dr. Rick B. (Kathy) Forrest; and granddaughters, Kate and Abby Struble all of Clinton.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre.
