Freya Rose Charlie Mendel, infant daughter of Carrie Mendel of Lost Nation, Iowa, received her angel wings on Monday, March 22, 2021.

She was born on November 24, 2020 in Iowa City, Iowa. She is survived by her mother, Carrie Rae Mendel of Lost Nation, IA; a sister, Paeton Miller of Maquoketa, IA; maternal grandparents, Linda Davidson of Maquoketa, IA, and Charles Mendel of St. Charles, IL; maternal great-grandparents, Jacqueline and Charles Mendel of St. Charles, IL; and a very special friend of the family, Michelle Gunderson of Maquoketa, IA. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents Tom and Clara Rorah, maternal grandfather Ernie Davidson, infant twin brothers, and her uncle Joshua Mendel.

A memorial service will be held at 5 P.M. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date. Masks will be required.

A Freya Rose Charlie Mendel memorial fund has been established at Maquoketa State Bank.
