Clara Ann Wiebers, 90, of Camanche, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her home in Camanche.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Wiebers, Kyle Wiebers, Mike Wiebers, Joe Lundy, Tony Manning, and Christopher Manning. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Clara Ann Eads was born on July 11, 1930 in Clinton, the daughter of Allen and Myrtle (Swanson) Eads. She was a 1948 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Arnold Eugene Wiebers, Jr. on January 10, 1948 in Clinton; he passed away, February 3, 2020.
Clara worked for Nielsens for 26 ½ years retiring in 1987. She also worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. She was a member of Zion Lutheran. She was also active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Royal Neighbors and the Red Hat Society.
Clara enjoyed knitting, sewing and attending many craft shows with her daughter. She made many friends during the shows. She also enjoyed playing the penny slots at the casino. Most of all she enjoyed spending hours with her dog, Candy.
Clara is survived by her son: Allen Wiebers of Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Anthony (Christine) Manning, Chris (Susie) Manning, Lissa (Byron) Mitchell, Mike (Cheyenne) Wiebers, Ryan (Mayra) Wiebers, Kyle (Amanda) Wiebers, and Katelyn (Joe) Lundy; and twelve great grandchildren.
Clara was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter: Marlene Manning in August 2020, and two sisters, and numerous beloved in-laws and other relatives.
