Duane William Reedy, 59, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at Westwing Place, DeWitt, on Monday, February 8, 2021. Following a private family service, cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of his life held at a later date. Duane was born August 18, 1961 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Howard and Delores (Baughman) Reedy. He was a graduate of Clinton High School.

Duane was a hard worker, who enjoyed working all of his life and in particular loved working for 3M, Kelly Oil and most recently Eastern Iowa Propane – at both Kelly Oil and Eastern Iowa Propane is where Duane really felt like part of the family.

In his younger years he loved going out on the river, watching mud bogs and he loved snow skiing and was actually a ski instructor at Chestnut for a period of time. He was very determined once he set his mind to a task – training and running in the Bix 7 was one such example. Duane had a wealth of knowledge; he was mechanically inclined and was always willing to offer his help or a suggestion. In his final years, Duane simply enjoyed working a full-day and socializing with his friends after work. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren very much and will be incredibly missed.

Duane is survived by his two daughters – Jami (Sean) Ohrt of Camanche and Jaci (Clay Behrens) Reedy of Clinton; five grandchildren – MacKenzie DaRonco, Kane Ohrt, Kasen Ohrt, Keaton Behrens, and Kambrie Behrens; three sisters – Sheryl (Dale) Nissen of Camanche, IA; Juliann (Mike) Bray of Clinton, IA; and Jennifer (Jeff) Horst of Clinton, IA; with several nieces, nephews and so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Merle Reedy.
